Azerbaijan has not invited PACE to observe parliamentary elections

The list of international organizations invited to observe the snap parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan, to be held on September 1, does not include the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Aykhan Hajizada told APA.

He noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has invited 7 international organizations: “OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), GUAM, Non-Aligned Movement Youth Organization, Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and the Organization of Turkic States are the organizations invited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.”
